An interesting idea and brilliantly conveyed research and detail into how video games are becoming less linear and breaking almost all the conventional rules. World of Warcraft is larger than 5 GTA Vice City islands. Animal Crossing doesn't actually end. While games like GTA IV are also pushing borders with games that are less confined, more creative, and push the boundaries of creativity with brilliant artistic liberties taken by innovative developers.

Nintendo, if you didn't know, has been in the game business for more than 100 years. Seriously. They used to make cards before there was even televisions to make games on. And when tv's came around, they utilized their genius on those to. To this day, Nintendo continues to dominate the world of video games. And we give it a brief history lesson for those who are curious about what kinds of cards they made, or why they chose to go in new directions while the rest of the industry kept innovating but not heading in bold new directions. 

It's easy to get into a heated debate on violence in videogames, where it comes from, who it's affecting, and what the parents are doing about it. Which is why we though of no better article to have as an opening on our blog section - than just that.
